Nice restaurant location in an area that doesn’t appear to be very busy. Service was great and seating was left to your choice. You order in the front and they bring you the food. My Co driver ordered the vodka pasta with chicken and a meatball. The sauce was not over powering and full of flavor. Chicken and meatball were cooked rather well and not burnt. As for myself I had the spaghetti with a marinara sauce. (Meat sauce is a mixture of beef and pork) Spaghetti noodles were cooked perfectly and the sauce was a strong tomato flavor. The dinner plate came with garlic knots and your choice of a soup or salad. The garlic knots were not freshly baked and kind hard and dry. (Not a fan of them). The salad was fresh with no complaints. Overall an excellent experience and definitely recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area.
Hi, this was my first visit to Avicolli’s. I would give it four stars for the following reasons:
Firstly, I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana, which was served with garlic bread and rigatoni.
1) Taste: The Chicken Parmigiana and garlic bread were enjoyable. However, the garlic bread was somewhat tough, and the rigatoni was average in taste and quality. Perhaps my expectations were too high. While it wasn’t bad, the rigatoni seemed to be just boiled and covered with a basic tomato sauce, lacking any additional culinary flair.
2) Portion: The portion size was a pleasant surprise, especially for a lunch menu. My order of Chicken Parmigiana came with four pieces of garlic bread and a serving of rigatoni, which was more than sufficient and offered great value for the price.
3) Staff and Vibe: The staff were welcoming and professional, contributing to a good dining experience. I appreciated the restaurant’s vibe, enjoying a quiet meal as there were only a few customers, given it was a weekday lunchtime.
Overall, I’m satisfied with my experience. However, on my next visit, I’m inclined to try the pizza, as it appears to be a more popular choice.
What a PLACE! Antonio, our server, was kind, accommodating, and very knowledgeable. My friend is currently in Lent and is practicing veganism, and he was more than happy to answer all of her questions, even ones that may have seemed a little strange. The lobster ravioli was full of lobster meat, the sauce was creamy and flavorful, and even the spinach was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. We had a few drink snafus (mostly our fault) and Antonio was prompt to resolve them and offer suggestions for solutions. The GM John came by our table to check on us and we could not compliment Antonio enough. John even told us that Antonio makes the best espresso martinis, so we obviously ordered one each before we left. And he did not lie, the martinis were phenomenal (one with cream and one without)!
It was a nice place, except the food took a quiet long time to get. I liked the long hots, Italian wedding soup and the Bolognese! The calamari was decent.
Took my wife here for her first visit as we were passing through Syracuse on vacation. I have eaten here a number of times but have not in over 5 years because of COVID and retirement. I have never had anything but awesome visits. She loved it and requested on our way back in 3 weeks we stop again. She said her lasagna was the best ever. My chicken parmigiana was 5 stars. The staff is great as is the atmosphere. We also had a couple of adult beverages and as always they were perfect.
