  • Food Done It?

A fixture in Huntington before, during, and after Prohibition! (1912) We tried their burger sliders, shepherd’s pie with Guiness gravy, chopped salad, macaroni and cheese, and crispy chicken sandwich. All tasty and the chicken was our favorite. Atmosphere (4.5/5 [5/5 if Tommy is working the bar]) Food (4.8/5) Service (5/5)

    Excellent experience all around!
The food was cooked perfectly, the drinks are great too! Right now during the Christmas season, they are decorated with wreaths and right outside is Wall Street (the closed off road with the large decorated tree, Christmas music, Santa)

    What we ate:
    Guinness Pot Roast
(Outstanding comfort dish, so tender, flavorful)
    Finnegan Burger
    (Juicy, thick, cooked perfectly)
    Buttermilk Crispy Chicken Sandwich
(Crispy, seasoned nicely, chicken cooked just right)

This is a small Irish pub, there’s tables(small and large), and a bar to sit at as well. They have a large assortment of beers (we had Stella and Corona), and cocktails(I had the Hot Chocolate Martini, tasted like an adult Yoohoo).
Service was excellent as well, everyone is super friendly, everything came out quickly, and was cooked perfectly (even with a full house).

I came 3/17 on St Patrick’s day. We got the corned beef and cabbage. The corned beef had a tough spot that I couldn’t eat. Also I expected corned beef to be saltier and more flavorful, as it’s brined in salt and spices for days, but it wasn’t, so I had to add salt to give it flavor. Potatoes were a bit softer than I liked (i prefer more firm) and no real flavor either (i know that’s typical for this dish but could have been boiled in salt water at least) so I had to add salt as well. Cabbage was cooked well but also needed salt. And nothing was hot unfortunately. Just warm. Also the dish was 27 dollars and potatoes and cabbage are cheap and the only costly item was the corned beef and they really don’t give that much. Also I would have loved a piece of rye bread or irish soda bread. Great atmosphere and staff working hard but wish the food was better.

Great local pub spot, food is great, try the wings, and the beer selection is your standard Irish pub selection.
