I have always enjoyed the ramen at the different Tamashii locations that I have been to. The broth was incredibly flavorful, with a good balance of umami and depth. The noodles were cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of …
I didn’t realize that there were two DIFFERENT restaurants in the same building. Their decor is also pretty similar with all the One Piece “WANTED” poster.. don’t be like me and if you’re meeting people for ramen IT’S ON THE GROUND FLOOR. Izakaya (I was sitting up there reading their menu for a bit lol) has yakitori and Japanese hot pot.
I came here with my fam and kiddo on a Friday night. We were able to get a table no problem and there were two different servers manning the restaurant. They were so friendly with our toddler, allowed us to walk around with her so she wouldn’t get fussy during our meal, and were just fantastic.
The ramen wasn’t the best I’ve ever had BUT for the price per bowl it’s definitely worth it. We also got a couple of apps which were delicious as well. The best one we ordered, hands down, had to be the agedashi tofu. Usually at other restaurants I’d get a couple small square blocks of fried tofu and some sauce. Here, you get a bunch of bonito flakes that added that extra umami flavor, scallions, and pickled radish. Delish!
We were surprised with mochi ice cream on the house at the end of the meal and if that wasn’t a sweet enough deal, if you pay with cash you have an 8% discount. It was definitely one of my family cheaper dinner nights out and we’ll be back again!
This one used to be nice. But recently is not good any more. 1. Signature Ramen soup taste like water. Chef inside should have changed. Tempura is exactly the one you can buy in Costco frozen food. Will not visit again any more anf would not recommend to friends anymore. I hope their Forest Hill shop can maintain better quality.
Very fresh and strong quality based on the good price point.
Creative design and clean service 👌
Will visit soon !! Highly recommend if you’re at the area and want some GOOD food and service.
Thank you guys!
This place is extremely hidden gem. Foods were very fresh. And it was very delicious. If you are a big One Piece fan and love Studio Ghibli’s Joe Hisashi musics, this place is the best place.
Their service of leaving mochi ice cream as a courtesy service was great as well. Will come back for more.
