I love the vibes! It truly lives up to its reputation in terms of atmosphere and aesthetic. I’ve always wanted to try a ramen place so I don’t really have a frame of reference. However, the food here was overall quite yummy!
I ordered the lunch special which comes with a drink, appetizer, and ramen.
Drink: Thai iced tea (10/10)
Can’t go wrong w/ thai iced tea! I’ve tried a bunch of diff places and the sweetness of this one is just right for me. I’d say it’s less sweet than how other places make it!
Appetizer: Takoyaki (7/10)
This was okay. It was crispy and the octopus was yummy but the flavor was lacking and it had an oily aftertaste. Again, I’m comparing this to other takoyaki I’ve had and this one is quite average. I think it’s also missing beni shouga (red ginger) in the batter which may explain the lacking flavor.
Ramen: Spicy tonkatsu ramen (8/10)
This was decently portioned and was filling. I saw one review say that the portions are small but I don’t really think so. See the photo for reference! As for the flavor, I think I had quite high expectations since I’ve never been to a place that specializes in ramen before, but yeah I mean it was pretty good! It was a bit too flavorful for me though.
Overall, I enjoyed my dining experience. The staff are very friendly and hardworking. James was my server & he made sure to check in if I needed anything. It also seems like they clean the bathroom every hour (??) according to the log I saw. That’s hardcore (lol)
*they also offer a drink in return for a review, but for the sake of providing an unbiased report I decided not to take it. Also, I was very full at the time so yeah haha.
My girlfriend and I had an amazing date here seated at the honeycomb seats! You have to call in advance to reserve these seats. The staff is extremely nice and the service is superb! We loved our entrees we got the chicken ramen combo. Definitely will come here again!
One of my favorite ramen spots in queens. I’ve been coming here for years. Come on a date and sit in the honeycomb booths, you’ll love it! The food, atmosphere, and service is all top notch!
Very clean presentation of both the food and the decor. We sat in the honey comb booty which was cute and cozy. The flavors of the food were exceptional.
