This food is so worth it, nice customer service with food lined up like a buffet of so many choices. I had the curry goat that falls right off the bones, with rice and a side. I would definitely come back.
Not worth the money.
Lighting was dim in the establishment. I didnt see the prices. After ordering the server gave me this huge piece of macaroni &cheese and shrimp. She charged me 22$ for that and 20 for medium oxtail. With tax I spent 46$ I asked if she had a smaller size shrimp meal she said no with an attitude 😒 I paid the money. The food looked good… but, as we all know looks can be deceiving. The food was horrible. Mac n cheese was dry, flavor bland, no seasoning at all! Just cheese and elbow noodles. The Oxtail were the worst Oxtails I’ve ever had in my life. Consistency too pasty like they added too much tomato paste or something. But the flavor wasn’t good either. ( Edible not Enjoyable) the Shimp was the best part it was crispy and I love the spicy sweet sauce. Only thing it was cold and not the room temperature cold either 😕 I heated it up at work and it was hitting 🙃 The rest was garbage. I ate the rice and peas as well. Will not be back… unless I’m craving shrimp 😩
Order curry goat and white rice. The food here used to be very good. I was served mostly bone fat and gravy over white except with little to no meat. It coats alot this is considered medium and it cost almost 16 dollars. I think it’s time I take my money elsewhere. The service was never good but the food used to be amazing that you ignored the poor service.
I don’t normally leave reviews but I have to let this be known. The Guy sharing/handling the food on 10 March 2024 around 7pm was vulgarly disrespectful to my mom. For health reasons she kindly requested less gravy on the rice than normal and the young lady at the cashier assured her that they would honor this request. She instructed my mom to let the guy sharing the food know who was right next to her so he already heard. All good. Upon waiting for a while we saw that he was finally sharing her serving when he began pouring the gravy all over the rice…we are all humans maybe he forgot which is completely understandable, my mom softly said “excuse me sir, but that’s a little bit too much gravy for me…”
Now, I’m not sure what transpired with him internally but he started yelling expletives on the top of his lungs we were so confused, embarrassed and frankly upset with this type of response over a simple request. He continues cursing expletives saying that he didn’t put no gravy on the rice… this was the epitome of Horrible Customer Service! and we are truly disappointed in the service we received…we lost our appetite and left the restaurant without being able to get a refund that night. Manager if you’re reading this, that cook needs to be reprimanded or relieved of his duties because he obviously doesn’t value your brand or your customers.
Excellent food quality and quantity. One of My favorite Yard spot in The North Bronx for takeout.
