5 Reviews on “El Valle Restaurant”
I have visited a couple of times because I haven’t found that many options of spanish food in the area 🤡
Other than that, there isn’t really a reason for me to go back
I don’t find their dishes as tasty as many other El Valle locations – I have ordered their pernil a couple of times, and it is always lacking salt.
We have tried their roasted chicken, chicharron, moro, yuquita and guineitos, beans, maduritos and tuna salad… portions are really good but we didn’t really find anything special about these dishes either 🤷🏻♀️
Regarding the service, the first time I visited them the service was so slow that I almost felt like leaving – the line to order was really disorganized, then they had to bring the food to your table after having ordered and they took FOREVER – to get the bill was another story 😂
Last time I visited this week the service was way better – we ordered two pernil lunch plates with rice and beans + one side of maduritos to share + one side of tuna salad + 1 bottle of water and it made USD$42 including a tip.
Regarding the atmosphere – nothing special about it but always really hot despite having AC 🫠
My favorite thing in the whole place was the pinha colada (really really good 👍🏻)
In conclusion, not my favorite El Valle location 🤷🏻♀️ not really planning to ever go back – would just pass by literally to get a pinha colada for take out 🙄
Food was good. Service good for the most part. Music a little too loud. Only thing I’ll say is double check your checks. I ordered and knew the price but it was more than shown. 2 when I went to pay there was one price. Then when I went to pay by card another price? And then I was go8ng to leave a tip but I saw they added their own in there on the original check and I believe on the one they ran my credit card. Other than that it’s a nice place.
We order food for a last minute good bye party and we got the worst part of the chicken, burnt and cold food. Never ordering from here again.
Not recommended. I am Dominican and I know what good Dominican food taste like. If Dominicans are telling you not to go here, you know that this place ain’t it. I was charged $50 for a small plate of rice, beans, and beef with 2 drinks that were very average. These are Manhattan prices. The service is also disorganized, you will walk in and the people behind the counter are very rude. Apart from the stale food, the music is very loud. If you are not Dominican, do not go here. You will not get a good impression of Dominican food. If you are looking for authentic Dominican food, I recommend visiting Washington Heights instead.
The food was good, nothing special. A little bland. The food was a little pricey. The place was clean and the server was nice.
