El Nica is inside the Hudson Valley Food Hall and took over the space where Himalayan dumplings used to be. We came here to try Nicaraguan food and overall really enjoyed it.

Highlight: Vigaron. Crunchy slaw, warm shredded pork, crispy pork rinds.

Hands down the best Latin food I’ve had to date. Everything was done perfectly; even the fritters which I don’t typically even like! I got the platter for 2, the rice pudding, and the tamarind juice. All of it was perfect, I have no suggestions for improvement. Even the coleslaw, which most places overlook, was perfect – fresh & flavorful. The rice & beans as well as all the meat were fresh & moist – I hate when it’s dried out & you can tell it’s been sitting there all day! The gentleman who works the booth is prompt & efficient – we watched him flying around getting everything done, and I really have to commend him on how consistently amazing the food is. This is one of the busiest food stalls in the food hall, and its 5* rating is well deserved!

If you want to travel by taste bud head over to El Nica. Nica style delicious and all made with care. We got the pollo a la plancha. It was a FULL plate of delicious food. Juicy chicken and winner of the best Cole slaw in Beacon. On the side was guacamole served with an 🥚 on top. Good fat and protein for the win. The food hall is loud with a bar at the back.

This year I had the pleasure of experiencing the incredible flavors of El Nica Food in Beacon,NY where the” El Nica Food” is located. Thanks to a recommendation from a friend who follows the talented Nicaraguan chef on Instagram.I have to say as Nicaraguan person we always hunting for Nicaraguan food, due to the fact that we don’t have many Nicaraguan restaurant in our area NJ.When I saw this advertisement for El Nica Food i went crazy and i say to myself i got go and find this place. I didn’t way too long and i got so crazy that i invite my brother and his family ,my niece for a ride to Beacon.Low and behold we find the place, and we love the suculent dishes that we ordered. So to made the story short .I decided to hire Cheft Armando for the Easter weekend. And I surprised the entire family to try out the traditional Nicaraguan cuisine, and it was an unforgettable experience!

From the moment people arrived, they were greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere. The chef’s passion for Nicaraguan cuisine truly shines through in every dish he prepares. We indulged in a variety of traditional dishes, including baho, churrasco, and enchiladas, each bursting with authentic flavors that transported us straight to Nicaragua.

The refreshments were equally delightful, with refreshing options like cacao and tamarind that perfectly complemented our meal. Every bite was a testament to the chef’s dedication to preserving and celebrating the rich culinary heritage of Nicaragua.

Not only was the food absolutely delicious, but the entire experience was made even more special by the joy of sharing it with my family. We all had an amazing time together, savoring each dish and creating lasting memories.

If you’re looking for a taste of authentic Nicaraguan cuisine, El Nica Food is a must-visit. The chef’s skill and passion are evident in every detail, making it a true delicatessen experience. Highly recommended!
