Went for a nice hike & gardens around Oyster Bay. So this place was recommended to me by Google maps & decided to come here.

When you go inside: the bar is the first thing you see. It was confusing, because we were looking for a hostess or someone to sit us for a few minutes. Finally got someone’s attention & they sat us inside the restaurant.
🦋So we arrived during happy hour. But they said we have to sit at the bar if want to partake in the happy hour options…but we wanted to be in the restaurant…so dissapointing honestly.

🦋Our waitress was knowledgeable & patient.
🦋 bread with butter on the table (not a fan of that butter at all)
    🦋espresso martini was good.
🦋buffalo spring rolls were good (but very small for the quantity)
    🦋mac & cheese side (1. It’s penne and 2. Missing something) we weren’t a fan
🦋Shepherds Pie was alright, nothing special. I guess I was hoping & expecting more flavor.

Overall, nice local place, with nice staff and location. But the prices for the quality of food didn’t match.

This Mill Creek Tavern is a charming Small Town tavern where everyone seems to know each other. As a visitor, you might initially feel a bit out of place, but the friendly locals and attentive staff make you feel welcome with great quality service. Returning for the second time, you’re greeted warmly as the regulars recognize you, and you effortlessly blend into the welcoming crowd. The place offers a fantastic selection of food, along with a diverse range of alcoholic beverages, from wine and scotch to vodka and rum, not to mention amazing cocktails. If you enjoy nighttime gatherings, this is the place to be when visiting this beautiful town. Highly recommended for a laid-back and enjoyable evening!

Many tend to flock to the village of Bayville for its restaurants and bars on the water and beautiful sunsets. Let me give you a proper suggestion: eat here, have a drink or two and then enjoy another drink and the sound view elsewhere. The diversity of the menu and the quality of the food with its unique taste cannot be beat by any place in this town by far. The drinks are great as well. Despite its location away from the water, it is typically packed especially on weekends so have patience when visiting. From my own observation it seems to be mostly local regular customers, who probably have a laugh at those visiting the ‘tourist’ spots for dinner expecting a great meal. As someone who has visited this town often and tried much of what there is to offer, this is what I would call Bayville’s best – grandma’s cooking, if you will. Give them a try.

This was the third time we had been here. First time for Happy Hour, which they have every day. Needless to say, we sat at the bar. The food was terrific as always, and drinks were very well made. I highly recommend this establishment.

Usually our favorite restaurant. We go for every event…birthdays, graduations, holidays…Today’s mother’s day menu was disgusting. If I wanted meals like those offered today I would have gone elsewhere. I go to mill creek because their classic meals are the best. All of our favorites weren’t able to be ordered. And when making reservations we were never told about the special menu. I have 2 autistic children with very limited items that they eat. Mill Creek is one of very few restaurants that have safe food for them. I wish I had known in advance because we would never have come. We spent a ridiculous amount of money and had to order take out on our way home. Very disappointed.
