5 Reviews on “Pepperpot Restaurant”
Beautiful restaurant the decor is amazing. This establishment offered a variety of West Indian sodas, pastries and snacks.
As a foodie I expect more than looks. Let’s discuss the food quality. I tried several items:
Pepper pot- I have to admit I’m very disappointed on the pepper pot. Especially since this is the name of the restaurant. Too much sugar once you bite into the meat the instant taste of sugar was a turn off. This dish is a main staple in Guyana. It’s expected to be tender and flavorful.
Chicken Pattie-good but too cold
Roti- I had better 2 out of 5
Please note: Parking is very limited in this area. There’s definitely room for improvement with this establishment.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pepperpot Restaurant, and it was truly a fantastic experience. The welcoming environment immediately set the tone for a delightful evening. The staff was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive atmosphere.
Now, let’s talk about the star of the show—the Guyanese chicken fried rice. It was nothing short of amazing! The flavors were rich and perfectly balanced, making each bite a culinary delight. The attention to detail in preparation was evident, and it’s clear that the chefs at Pepperpot take pride in delivering top-notch dishes.
From the first impression to the last bite, my visit to Pepperpot was a memorable one. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a superb dining experience. Kudos to the team for creating such a wonderful culinary haven!
Woooooo let me tell you something….this restaurant hits all the taste buds you could ever want when it comes to West Indian food. I’m Puerto Rican and we love food! I’m also from Brooklyn and it’s hard to top Brooklyn West Indian food but this establishment cooks like Grandma is in he kitchen!!! We had a Girls Christmas dinner in Elmont LI on Saturday night, usually we have a pot luck dinner but this time we decided to order take out and not stress. And we hit the jackpot! We ordered a bunch of items for just 5 of us! We ordered Cha Chi Kai Chicken, Chicken in De Rough, Fried Banga Mary Fish, Fried Plantin, Roast Lamb Fried Rice, Roast Duck Fried Rice and Vegetableb Lo Mein! We had our own Buffet of delicious food and we had enough to carry home as well. Everything was so fresh and tasty. Great portion sizes and packed well for delivery. And not a oily mess. I can’t say enough about this HIDDEN GEM! I can’t wait to go back and actually sit and meet the wonderful cooks who really know how to do West Indian food justice! 😋
I fed up give this place a chance! Has been disappointing each time! I was handed a stiff, stale dhal puri today, nothing is ever fresh or tasty! The peas were awful and cold, such a waste of money and time! Flavor and spice down the road in valley stream gives you much better quality food and more bang for you buck! Customer service is much more better and friendly there as well
My mom who is picky about guyanese bread loved the bread. She said it was fresh. The food was pretty good. I would order again.
