5 Reviews on “Southdown Coffee Huntington”
We are super fans of Southdown Coffee and we visit them once a month for a couple of bags of their beans when we run out of our supply at home. However, this was our first visit to this location in Huntington.
The decor is bright and clean but a little narrow with limited seating compared to their location in Glen Cove, which is the best in our opinion & Oyster Bay.
Our favorite blend is the Sure Shot, which is perfect for espresso machine and we bought 5 bags as our routine with 2 pastries: Chai Scone & Biscuits. We also had 2 cups of hot Latte with 2 pastries, Almond Croissant and Zucchini Bread to dine there.
The coffee was great and served quickly. However, it took us almost 20 mins to receive our pastries, which needed to be heated up since the staff forgot about our orders. The pastries were delicious especially the Zucchini Bread, soft & puffer but the wait was disappointing.
Our cycling group makes a regular stop here to refuel. I usually get a black coffee but everyone else goes for a cappuccino.
The service is quick and efficient. Staff are friendly & helpful. They even help us refill our water bottles at no charge. 👍👍
It’s a nice spot to sit down for 10 minutes and get away from the cold. It’s generally quite busy here on the weekends.
Nice gem in a plaza in Huntington. Plenty of parking in the plaza. I enjoyed walking in to this chic, quaint coffee shop. The cold brew coffee was excellent and they have a variety of breakfast pastries and entrees. The yogurt parfait was made with fresh blueberries, drizzled honey, and granola. Good service and just a gem of a place. Ideal for doing remote work or hanging out with some friends.
Best coffee/coffee shop on LI by a long shot. There’s not a single shop that comes even close. In fact, it’s one of less than a handful of coffee shops/cafes on LI that even CARE about serving coffee. The coffee is expertly roasted(not a single bean over medium to be found, which is how its supposed to be) and the drinks are expertly crafted. One of the best lattes I’ve ever had. They constantly get new coffees in stock and get back favorites all the time. My wife and I get coffee delivered to our house upstate every couple of weeks. The food is great as well; the breakfast tacos and everything biscuit are awesome. You legitimately cannot find a better coffee shop on LI and will even have a hard time finding one this good in the city.
I had the Caesar Salad, which was tasty. It was too much for me to eat in one sitting. It took me a few more days to finish it. The lettuce lasted that long. It did not wilt, and the dressing did not get watery.
For $16.29 after tax, it was well worth the money.
Next time, I will get some chicken with it.
