Tara’s has unbelievably excellent food for an unbelievably affordable price. Our server, and everyone else I interacted with here, employees and other customers, were friendly and laid back. This place is a legend and a gem on Long Island. It’s unpretentious, old school and I still love it. I can’t drink alcohol right now but if I could, I would definitely do so here again. I’ve been here several times in the past for food and drink, and many times when I was a kid. One thing to keep in mind: Tara Inn is cash only, though they do have an ATM machine that charges $3 per transaction. Also, I miss RC Cola being served here. Tara’s is where I first began my love of RC, when I was a kid. Definitely check this place out if you’ve never been here.
$12 Lobster 🦞 comes with a bowl of soup. I have been coming here for years. Comfortable setting. Lots of tvs. They come around with a bag after you order your drink. You put your hand and pull out a token, could be free or have price. $1 Burger. It’s not BK or MDs it’s better comes w/lettuce and tomato and the 🥒🍅. Cool place to bring a date.

We stumbled across this place while waiting for our ferry during a New England road trip. Upon seeing prices that looked like they were from a bygone era (it’s not just the lobster), we had quite a few items from their eclectic menu. Everything was made to order and our food was delivered much more quickly than the average fast-food joint by a server who treated us like old friends. The atmosphere is unpretentious and super chill – perfect for sports fans looking to hang out alone or with friends. It’s a must-visit place if you’re passing through the area for any reason.

Ok so almost 2 months ago after a brief visit to the hospital me and my wife stumbled upon this place , we walked in and turned around the place looked like a dive bar .the next time we went I was reading reviews , we decided to ha e an open mind and check it out .
This place was amazing , the menu is on the wall and on paper plates attached to the walls , it’s not a fancy place BUT the food was good , it was ridiculously priced , it was three of us we had appetizers 3 meals , 3 drinks and 1 soda was $78 . Was very good , I would go back in an instant . So many choices and responsibility priced .
