I had an excellent rack of lamb. This restaurant is popular for good reason and was busy, but I got seated right away. The wait staff are perfect. They are fast and attentive. My friends had steaks that they reported were excellent as well.
Highly recommended Amenia Steakhouse located at 4905 Route 44, Amenia, NY 12501-5442.
Extremely pleased with this restaurant from start to finish.
Greeted upon entering and given a choice of seating. Our waitress, Natalie, was friendly and attentive. She gave us suggestions and checked on us several times during our meal. There was also a waiter who engaged in friendly conversation even though he was not assigned to our table.
Ordered a steak and crab leg combo, which he loved. The seafood was fresh and the steak cooked perfectly. while there were several items I could have eaten on the menu, I was in the mood for salad, so I ordered a house salad,a side of vegetables and fries. But within a few minutes of smelling the yummy food I ordered the biggest steak an porterhouse.
The salad was a generous size and consisted of a good variety of fresh lettuce and other vegetables The vegetables tasted fresh and were not overcooked. The fries were not greasy, crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. The dessert menu was huge, so we asked Natalie for some suggestions and ultimately asked her to surprise us. She brought us a piece of the Raspberry White Chocolate Cheesecake, which was a perfect way to end the meal.
Will definitely eat here again when in the area.
I order a jack Daniels, New York strip steak Medium cooked, and they serve me a well done steak, which it was very dry to eat. The sauce was really good, but the steak was just too dry for me to eat.
I sent it back and got a burger instead, which this was really good When it came time to pay the bill they only discounted 8% of the steak which I asked to speak with the manager because it was supposed to be taken completely off because I did not eat the whole steak. I only ate about three small bites and the waitress lied to the Manager, saying that I ate half of the steak They say they took a look at it, but I don’t think they did because they would’ve seen that. I only ate a little bit but in the end after the manager getting mad at me and treating me the wrong way she took the steak off the bill. I was lucky there we were the only ones there otherwise it would’ve been a very embarrassing situation which we did not need it. I should’ve read all the reviews specially the ones with one star because it looks like they always have problems with the steaks cooking the way you want it either they make it raw or too well done
Absolutely a delicious meal! Ordered the Jack Daniel’s Strip Steak, rare….cooked to perfection! Generous portions, and needless to say a 16 oz steak for me requires a take home box. Having it for dinner right now, and enjoying it for a second time. 😊
