Phenomenal food. Great prices! Love this place. Their stakes are out of this world. When they didn’t have the brand of beer I asked for, the waiter made an alternative suggestion; Great choice of beer!
This place is the best and very highly recommended. The people working there was very friendly and very nice. The bartender named Evelyn was very nice and friendly. I had the cowboy steak it was delicious and good. Hopefully I will go to this restaurant again
To say our experience tonight was bizarre is an understatement. I ordered the cowboy steak medium rare. I cut into the steak and it was tough and overcooked. I cut into the center and it was overcooked. Our waitress came over, she was very nice and I have no issues with her and I showed her the steak. She agreed it was overcooked, she walked over to the manager and said “ another ones overcooked” the manager came over and looked at it with a flashlight and agreed it was over cooked and said he’ll be right back with a new steak. Moments later another woman came over and insisted that I get up and look at the steak in different lighting, she insisted it was the lighting. She disappeared into the back, then all the lights came on full brightness in the bar area and she returned with my steak and said this is our medium rare. My girlfriend was mortified, I was speechless. She kept repeating if I wanted rare, order it rare. I accepted the overcooked steak. When the check came for the full amount none the less I asked who that woman was that raised the lights our waitress said she’s a waitress here who picked up a few manager shifts. I paid the bill and left.
I have been coming to J and R’s for the better part of the last 20 years sadly this will be my last time.
Who needs a fancy steakhouse with exorbitant prices. J&R has great food for resonable prices. The staff is friendly and attentative. Great place to eat with your family. Will definitely be back with friends. We went back and we’ll be back!
2nd time we had the lunch specials. Chicken tacos and pot roast. Good portions, great food. Cocktails are also very good as is the staff!
This is the best steak I’ve ever had, as well as spinach and mushrooms. They are all delicious.😋
