4/13/22 – The BBQ here is delicious. I got the BBQ pulled pork on a bun with the Mac n’ cheese as a side. My mother got the same thing and we both loved it. My favorite part of the whole experience was the cornbread appetizer and the beautiful, loving, woodsy atmosphere. The server was very nice and brought us more cornbread to take home!! We will definitely be coming back this year for more deliciousness. 🙂
Came here 2 times during our week long stay in lake George. The first time we got the two meat plate. Very good, perfect portions where we did not leave hungry at all. The second time we got the mac n cheese. It was good and filling as well. We also enjoyed their beers and frozen cocktail each night. Service was good, our waitress the first night (can’t remember her name) was very attentive and checked on us multiple times. I would recommend. We came at 4:30 each night and left satisfied and full each night by 5:15.
We had a large party so we called ahead about reservations and they gave a suggested time to arrive and held a table.
Service was not very warm and at times it felt as if we were bothering the person with simple requests or food/drink orders. We were thinking about getting dessert and an after-dinner drink but didn’t as it felt like the server didn’t want us to stay (this was not due to the restaurant being packed and the server being in the weeds as there were plenty of tables open). In no way was the service terrible just not inviting.
Atmosphere was casual, we sat on the tented deck that conceited of outside dining tables. Cucumber mojito was AMAZING! Many different drink options.
Food was good. BBQ options were extensive with choices of sauces, cuts, many different proteins. A few alternatives if someone in the party does not enjoy BBQ. We did have three people order a burger all at the same temperature (medium rare) and we received a range of temps from well done to rare.
Great place to bring a large party and to dine out with the kids after a day at the lake or the rodeo.

I’ve been visiting Lake George 50 years now, and it’s hard to find a good, consistent place to eat in the village that’s open off season as well, has delicious food, and cozy, friendly atmosphere!!! 👍👏👏 Last week, cousin from Vegas and I enjoyed Sliders, Mac & Cheese Pulled Pork Bowl and Sweet Potato Fries with Ranch and Melba (Raspberry) dipping sauces. Everything was well seasoned, hot and tasty!! We dined on a Saturday afternoon about 3pm. See food pics and receipt… I live in the Adirondacks now, so I’ll definitely be back at the Barnsider Smokehouse BBQ Restaurant for dinners and take out!! Stop in and give this place a try, you won’t regret it!! 💯😊… 2023 Summer Review…This place is outstanding!! The food, the staff, the space/decor were all enjoyable! We went on a Thursday at 5 PM 3 weeks ago & the place was packed with inside and outside dining! We had all kinds of delicious barbecue, ribs, pulled pork, steak & chicken. We ordered combo meals with 2 sides, Mac & cheese, sweet potato fries, corn on the cob, macaroni salad, all very tasty! Forgot to take pics of meals because we were so anxious to dig in! 😁 I’ve been visiting LG for 49 years, I highly recommend this restaurant for your dining pleasure!! One of the best places to eat in Lake George Village!! Keep up the great work Barnsider!! 👏👏👏
Upon entry, a smokey aroma enters your nostrils- touching your soul and uplifting your spirit…the smell was just a preview of what was to come! The food was a 10/10. Customer service was a 10/10. Jess was amazing! And the price was shockingly affordable for the quality of food.
We will be coming back to dine here each time we come to Lake George!
