I celebrated my birthday here last April 23, 2022 and it’s our first time to dine in here. We live close to the city and and drove almost 3hrs to try it. Their food is superb and it’s beyond our expectations. We will definitely come back and i highly recommend them and the service is amazing. This restaurant is superb and really amazing! Even the kids love their food.
Mario’s is the last restaurant I dined in for dinner before heading home from the long Memorial Day Weekend. This place has been around since 1954, and it was the best restaurant I dined in during my stay in Lake George. The restaurant inside is beautifully elegant, clean, and has a great ambiance. I ordered the Shrimp Cocktail and the Blackened Salmon. The Shrimp Cocktail is what you would expect from a Shrimp Cocktail and the Blackened Salmon was very tasty and had flavor. The Minestone Soup that came with my entree was pretty good as well. My server was very pleasant, and the food came out rather quickly. They have a decent sized menu and, in my opinion, didn’t seem overpriced at all, as other reviewers have stated. I got a couple of glasses of the house wine for $9 a glass, and surprisingly, it was really good, and I got a real nice buzz. Overall, I would definitely dine here again the next time I am vacationing in the area.
Been visiting Lake George for years, and finally visited Mario’s for the first time. Not a big Italian food fan, but the food was delicious!!! For soup or salad, get the Minestrone!!! So good!!! We all cleaned our plates! Courteous service, all around. Would definitely recommend, and visit again!
The best Italian restaurant in Lake George! We had Clams Casino that were amazing and then had Chicken Parm which was excellent! Great wine & cocktails too! Fahgetaboutit!
Hostess sat our group of 12 at two tables and would not allow us to sit at a single table together even though there were plenty of tables available. For what it’s worth we made a reservation thirty minutes earlier. Our waitress was great – offered to have the Italian platter split into two so it would be easier to share. She hustled. House salad was fresh. Pasta, stuffed shell and sauce were good. Chicken parm was not fresh, unfortunately. We wanted to order dessert but they said they needed the tables and we could get it to go.
