This establishment cares about nothing but money. After a polar plunge for charity, there were 3 individuals who showed up soaking wet in 22 degree weather in February who begged to use the bathroom to change. There was a kind hostess who was going to let them in, then some huge waste of space bouncer stepped in and turned them away. He literally kicked them out soaking wet in the freezing cold because they weren’t patrons. I understand the no patron rule for other reasons, but this was 3 people who did something honorable and were treated like trash. I hope that other people with a caring nature will avoid this ridiculous heartless establishment.
Not like people described. We wanted a choice of entrees on a kid’s menu. My daughter loved the wings! The pulled pork sandwich and the steak burger were also good although the decor is just ok. Our server was very nice.
Went out lastnight, invited by friends to hear a great band at Shepart’s Cove! Was halted in my tracks when the bartender asked us to hold our credit card behind the bar till we were done with the night. Are you kidding? You are going to hold our card? We are not renting a room, we are not making reservations….nottta. What kind of an establishment does this? First time at Shepards Cove. Last time.
When we showed up they were just opening. We order Reubens and they were good. The owner/cook was nice. The view of Lake George was the best part which is why chose them. The decor looks rustic and beat up but that goes with the area.
Upon arrival we were told we would have the next available table, however it turned out it was up to us to secure a table. Utensils were not given until requested. Each sandwich came with two bites of coleslaw which was disappointing. Live music was a nice touch considering there was no cover charge but did not make up for our meals arriving cold. Many options to dine in Lake George, other than the view there is no reason to seek out Shepard’s Cove.
