All in all, the food was fantastic. It’s some great quality home cooking. The rice is loaded with ghee and the chana masala is SO flavorful. Believe it or not, the gyro (which is usually the safest option) was only so-so.

While I rarely mention value for money in my reviews, it’s worth mentioning here. This is a hole-in-the-wall, take-out style, plastic-cutlery-only type of place. There are tables to eat your food, but you’ll be eating it from styrofoam containers. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. However, the entrees were almost $30 each. We came with 8 people and paid almost $300 total. That’s a lot of money when you consider there’s no table service and you’re eating outside of a gas station.

We’ll be back for sure. If you’re planning on making a trip, just keep in mind that the cost may be much higher than what you would expect from a hole-in-the-wall joint.

Stopping for gas off the exit. I gave this very inviting place a chance. Beautiful spot for quality, seasoned food. The chicken and lamb was so juicy and tender, you could tell your order was freshly prepared. Inside and outside dining is a nice option. I was very impressed with the interior design as well.

Spice Gyro and Kebab is one of the best restaurants in Lake George. I’ve tried nearly everything on the menu and all of the food is fantastic! Their tzatziki sauce is what sets them apart from others. Other menu items like the chana and okra masalas are very flavorful. They have great fresh tasting Mediterranean salads as well. The kebabs can’t be beat! Portion sizes are very large on all orders. When ordering takeout they always have the order ready on time. The restaurant is newly renovated and they have nice indoor dining as well. The staff is very friendly. Don’t let the location fool you, this restaurant has some of the finest food in all of the area.

Ok this place is a hidden gem. You can order at the front desk and ask to dine inside, they have a BEAUTIFUL dinning room. It’s gorgeously decorated, you feel like you are in high class dinning. We got food for our family, and felt like we were having a private high class dinning experience. This place is beautiful inside, and during the summer, they have a brand new upper deck, can’t wait to come back!!!!

Who would have thought a place attached to a gas station would be my go to gyros joint?

My god, the gyros here are spectacular- and I’m a tough critic. Being Middle Eastern, I am quite particular about how a gyros should taste. I’ve been to plenty of places that have such a disappointing product but Spice Gyro and Kabob knocks everyone in Upstate NY out of the park. The seasoning is PERFECT, the quantity is massive, and the service is quick. WHAT MORE COULD YOU ASK FOR?!

We’ve been here a couple of times and we don’t live in the area. To us, it’s worth the 30+ minute drive- every time.

Any time my Middle Eastern roots are tugging at me, I’ll be heading here to satisfy my cravings!

If I could give 6 stars- I would.
