Excellent no BS Irish bar and restaurant with fantastic food and a cozy atmosphere. The bartender Gary is a friendly guy and the service is top notch.
I got the dinner special which was the fireman’s meatloaf. It was one of the better meatloafs I’ve had; super moist and flavorful and the portion was enormous for the price. Mashed potatoes were creamy and green beans were fresh.
The french onion soup here is perfect. Also, the Caesar salad is fresh, crisp and tossed with proper homemade Caesar dressing and excellent garlic croutons… plus it’s topped with slices of fresh shaved Parmesan that are so good they stand on their own. The salad was huge and was only $8.99. Always pleasant music playing too. This place is a gem and a retreat from the crazy world.
Maggie Mays is a wonderful local staple. It is an Irish pub with delicious food that reminds you of home. I highly recommend trying the daily specials, they never disappoint. Our waitress recommended the ribs and they were excellent. She was so kind and attentive. If you are looking for good food in a cozy atmosphere, this is your spot.
A-MAY-ZING – loved it, we had the ribs, zucchini wafers, porkchop and the lamb chops, everything was delicious. Service was also…you guessed it, amazing! Definitely coming back often to try the rest of this menu.

Had dinner last night and it was very good but my French onion soup could’ve been hotter. Waitress was excellent, personable and attentive. Back room nice. Cash only.
I usually write only good reviews. And as much as possible, I skip writing bad reviews if I sense that an establishment or their team members are doing their best. In this case, we were of course disappointed that we were unable to use a credit card. And it was a bit tiresome to keep retrying the ATM machine & getting charged a fee. But what prompted me to write this review is that soon after we received our appetizer portion of the meal, I noticed my table cloth had green and brown hardened stains at the sides of the table. I mentioned something very politely to the server or bus girl. They offered to move us but we already had food and we happened to get the warmest part of the restaurant which we hoped to remain at. They put a linen napkin over my table to hide the brown and green stains. We didn’t proceed to create a big deal out of it, but our experience could have been better. I used to go here a lot over a decade ago and I always had good experiences. But this time I was underwhelmed. I was surprised that no manager nor owner stopped by to acknowledge the stains. They could have, at the very least offered a small courtesy discount. But we felt we shouldn’t need to ask for courteous gestures by restaurant staff. I believe that almost any other customers would have made a bigger deal out of this while we remained courteous to the wait staff. One of the girls told us that the brown hardened stain is likely chocolate cake and not blood. But I think Maggie May can do better with having clean table cloths for each new customer before seating them. And if a mistake like this happens, then send a manager over to talk to the customer & offer a discount as a courteous gesture. This is not about trying to get food at a discounted price. However if the manager walked over to us to acknowledge this & if s/he offered a discount, then at the very least, we wouldn’t write a mediocre review & we’d try to come back another time with the hopes that all would be very decent, at the very least. And it’s not the onus on the customer if they happen to notice an uncleaned table cloth after they’ve already sat & received some of the food. I’ve seen restaurants make courtesy discounts during moments when something was obviously questionable or potentially offensive to a customer. Not because the customer is greedy nor taking advantage. But a discount is an immediate way to show a customer that you acknowledge something was off. There’s not much more a restaurant can do once something was wrong. Our food was ok. Chicken Marsala was decent. Chicken Maggies a bit bland. I might order the Marsala again. But I’ll skip the Chicken Maggie’s. I’ve had good experiences here more than 10 years ago. I’m not sure what happened this time? Accepting credit cards would be a plus too.
