Superb! A clean crust means clean oven. Nice slices. Crispy. Flavorful. A “TKO”. One of NYC’s best. Update: Now they only do 10” personal pies. Oven is still clean. No soot. What the hell you waiting for? Get some !!!
This is an honest review. I have lived in Floral Park for 20 years. I have grown up going to this place. Recently moved out of town, and came back to visit Floral park and of course had to stop by Famous pizza
The customer service is horrible. The guy behind the counter. I believe he is the owner, doesn’t smile, is always grumpy, and doesn’t acknowledge you when you pick up your order. I order 3 pies (buy 2 get 1 free), wanted 1 to stay and 2 to be packed for home. He prepared all 3 to stay, so politely asked him to pack the other 2. He made it clear he was annoyed by my request. I mean, your in a service industry dude. Never again will I return and I advise people boycott this place and show them that patrons of his restaurant are not beggar. We are the reason he exists.
Their food has always been great. Recently there employees that work there are rude and incompetent and completely unprofessional. My card was charged 3x for the same order. The guy says the charges didnt go through, and took my cash as well. When I call in to find resolution, everyone is pointing fingers at everyone else and refuses to get the owner. I hope the owner of this place will reach out to me so I can share my experience.
Come on. Don’t know how these guys aren’t rated higher. They made a business out of making fresh to order custom whole medium pies. No slices at all! They have a promotion that if you buy two pies you get a third cheese pie free. This has worked for them for years.
Their toppings are fresh, their crust out of the oven is crisp and flavorful. They have cool ninja pizza blades that rock through slicing a pie in under five seconds. I have never had a bad pie from them and they are always consistent.
So the guys speak English behind the counter? Meh! 50/50
Do they sometimes look grumpy? Yes, but that’s because they do their perfect routine over and over flawlessly all day. Give em a break.
If it wasn’t for calorie watching, I would be here once a week.
If you haven’t tried them out, give it a go. My favorite is chicken and jalapeño mix.
And also note that they randomly make great falafel over salad or pita.
