We had a cold brew and atole, the chilaquiles, tamales verde, and carnitas burrito and everything was fresh and delicious. They also were able to accommodate for my food allergies which I so appreciate. Downstate is an absolute gem!
Please try their food, it is one of the best. Chorizo torta and pozole exceeded expectations! Impressed! Coffee is also good π
Super chill atmosphere. Food was super yummy, though a small menu. The tamales were different from what Iβm used to, I feel like it had a hipster flare to the tamale which made it more of an experience than just a meal. Def recommend:)
had a matcha latte and chorizo torta this morning! loved every bite of my sandwich. if youβre looking for something light and affordable this is the place. also the salsa ππΌππΌππΌππΌ
I lived in Mexico City for a while and I can honestly say Downstate captures the flavors and community spirit of some of the small, neighborhood restaurants I enjoyed while in CDMX. I love everything on their menu and will return again and again. Their veggie chorizo and house-made salsas are so good!
