This was our first time at this site in Newburgh. The ladies were super sweet and helpful. The food, on the other hand was not as good. In their defense, we arrived close to closing and they had already begun mopping. I would give another just to be sure it wasn’t because they were closing soon.
I have eaten here many times and have done take out before too. Today was not a good experience. The food was cold. Rice was hard. Chicken was dry. Never again will I come back. For a business that deals with food, no one here wears hairnets or gloves and they are supposed too.
Wow!!! Amazing food. Meat flavorful & tender. Best potatoes we have ever had. Dont even get me started on how goo the rice & beans are. Large portions for a good price, we’ll have leftovers for days! Staff was extremely attentive, friendly, & helpful- especially with us asking a million questions. Atmosphere is cute & cozy. Will come back next time we’re in the area!
My favorite of all the Nelly locations. Tables it seems are never busy. The food, besides delicious, comes out fast and easy. The ladies at the front and back are always ready with a smile. I love Dominican food and this is my go-to place. Try the combos which are sufficient enough for a family of four, sometimes with a little left over.
Food is amazing! I’ve tried the ox tail and the beef stew. Recommend both!
