This place is hands down one of the best Chinese food places out. It’s a mom and pop shop with an amazing and friendly child who is extremely kind. The crispy pork was to die for and I’ve had nothing like it before. If you want a place where there’s love cooked in the food come here. The chicken was the perfect texture and melts in your mouth, and they are very sanitary. The clean everything so well
This restaurant is now serving lab grown chicken. It’s not real chicken. It doesn’t taste like real chicken. It doesn’t look like real chicken. They are serving lab grown chicken. It is disgusting and they don’t tell you that they’re serving you this garbage. I think they should be assigned or something that lets you know what it is they selling you. I wouldn’t buy food from there ever again. If they’re selling lab prone chicken, they are no doubt selling lab grown beef. Avoided at all cost.
Happy Wok is one of those places you love or absolutely hate. Our family has been going for twenty years plus since it became a Chinese Restaurant after KFC left Northport back in the 90’s. The food is always hot and tasteful. Jennifer is always so sweet and her son Aiden is a delight. Locals know him well since he was a baby. The prices are average and the staff is friendly. But I do get some people don’t like it and that’s why we can leave unbiased reviews. IMO this place rocks.
Cashier is never happy to see me. Asked for chicken chow mein and asked her if she had it and she said yes but got chop suey. Complete waste of money.
Ordered takeout here for the first time. Was slightly skeptical from seeing the mixed reviews and experiences but nonetheless I decided to give them a try since most of my go to Chinese places are closed on Mondays
Ordered the sesame chicken lunch special, that came with Wonton soup and I also got Dim sum one of my favorite appetizers to get and honestly I was pretty impressed.
The food was still hot and fresh even when it was delivered. Portion sizes were very sizable for the price and the flavors were just where they needed to be! From the savory dim sum, tasty salty pork bits in the fried rice, and a slightly spicy sesame chicken sauce.
Only real let downs was the wonton soup tasted off, like it was made with a Miso base if I had to guess. Some of the onion bits in the fried rice didn’t taste as fresh and stood out in a bad way.
If I had to give another rating I would give it a 7 out of 10 for being really solid and surprisingly tasty even with some off bits here and there it wasn’t as bad as some other reviews made it out to be.
