The food and menu are excellent, the waitress is expert and German-speaking. The food is not just German (mainly German) but continental. The interior is great, the upstairs bathrooms and phone cabinet are classic and there is an ample parking lot. This was out of the way for me but my detail thought I would enjoy this. On a rainy Saturday afternoon in an empty German restaurant my soul was refilled. The waitress was joy personified. Dance. Mahlzeit!

This German restaurant was a bit out of the way but just what I needed on a rainy Saturday afternoon. The combo lunch included soup, dessert and coffee with an entrée and is a phenomenal deal. The wiener schnitzel was divine, the rice beautifully cooked. The interiors were a restrained Bavarian and the service was impeccable. This is not Figlmüller’s but I was blissfully unaware. So Northport isn’t Vienna. Who cares? Mahlzeit!

I grew up in a German household. My parents, German immigrants, used to eat here back in the day.
Tragic. The food is terrible and the prices are ridiculous for what they serve. Tasteless carrots, potato dumplings are some bizarre mashed ball covered with terrible brown gravy.
Schnitzel was terrible. The soup and mashed potatoes were actually good. The decor was nice. My wife liked the Tiffany lamps.
There are many better places to eat in Northport. Even McDonald’s is across the street.

Food is horrible and overpriced. Ordered the goulash and the noodle were watery. I’m not Hungarian but I have had goulash before I know how it should taste and look. Also ordered wings and read that it was $19 but menu didn’t state how many wings, so I asked and the waitress said “like 12 wings”. I accepted and only received 9 dried wings for $19. They also gave us refrigerated bread. The place is really a bar for locals and not worth it for food. Very disappointed. The French onion soup was the only good thing they had. If you want beer and to hang with locals and maybe just have French ion soup then this is your spot.

The food quality was outstanding and very authentic. The sauces were absolutely superbly made. Very generous portion sizes. The atmosphere felt like being in Germany. The staff were friendly. Highly recommend!
