I have to give Tipsy Taco Bar a well-deserved 5-star rating! From the moment I stepped through the door, I knew I was in for a treat. This restaurant is more than just a place to grab a bite – it’s a culinary journey through the vibrant flavors of Mexico, all served up with a modern twist.
Let’s talk about the food – it’s absolutely phenomenal. I had the pleasure of trying several dishes, including the Empanadas, Short Ribs Tacos, Al Pastor Tacos, Octopus Al Pastor, Salmon Tartare, and Pork Carnitas. Each bite was bursting with flavor, showcasing the authentic ingredients and traditional techniques that make Mexican cuisine so beloved. Plus, knowing that the menu is 90% gluten-free and features organic meats only adds to the appeal.
But it’s not just about the food – Tipsy Taco Bar offers an experience that’s second to none. The venue itself is buzzing with energy, making it the perfect spot for a lively night out with friends. The decor is stylish and inviting, creating a vibrant atmosphere that’s as memorable as the food itself. And despite the bustling crowd on a Saturday night, the staff were attentive and efficient, ensuring that everyone’s orders were served promptly.

Cod taco had was bland, shrimp taco was a little better, rice n beans was cold, drinks were on point and best part of my meal. Service was good and chill atmosphere.
Ordered $100 in margs and tacos from them tonight. Margs never made it, and these are legitimately the saddest looking tacos I’ve ever seen (see attached; that’s notionally a pair of shrimp and short rib tacos lol). Gave them a call and was told, “yeah that’s happened before.”
Have to imagine from looking at their other food pics that this was just a really off night for them. Having said that, there’s just so many good places to get Mexican <15 minutes away (Taco Project, Hacienda la Paloma, Casa Tequila), if there’s even a 1 in 10 chance you have the experience I had tonight, would you ever bother to spend a $1 here? I wouldn’t, I won’t again, and neither should you.
The atmosphere was pleasant and we were seated almost immediately. The waitress was friendly and accommodating. She waited until we all settled down before asking for our drink orders. The drinks made quickly and the taste of the margarita was amazing. 10/10. When the appetizers arrived, we noticed that there wasn’t enough meat portion. The food was delicious nevertheless. When our main courses came out, we also noticed the dish was covered with peppers and was having trouble finding our meat portions. I was able to only find 3 shrimps and a few steaks in my meal. The food was delicious and flavorful, but not enough of a meat portion. Don’t recommend eating here if you’re hungry.
We had Tipsy Taco cater an office lunch party with their food truck this week and we could not be happier. They offered a very generous selection of food options, which was great to ensure everyone had something they were able to eat. They were extremely easy to work with and very gracious as we worked through some roadblocks with our building management. The truck showed up on time and the staff was extremely nice. Everything was SO fresh and the food was plentiful and delicious. Everyone had a great time- and left full. I will definitely be using Tipsy Taco to cater events again!!
