I ordered a chicken vodka parm hero and tater tot’s. The tater tot’s were very oily and tasted like old oil.
That wasn’t even the upsetting part. When I unwrapped the chicken sandwich, I immediately noticed the burnt edges of the chicken cutlet. The chicken was burned, supersaturated in oil that the provolone cheese was also very oily.
How do people serve food like this? While preparing the sandwich, you could not miss how burned and oily the chicken was. Clearly, they don’t care about their customers and just serve anything. I am never going to order from here again. I was unable to finish my meal and am very disappointed.
Always a good sandwich, burger, appetizer, no matter what you get from Comptons you’re gonna love it. Location is cool, old school meets new school vibes. Service is fast & all the staff is always amazing!! Would recommend to anybody if they’re looking for a solid go to, this is a place to be!
This space is very clean, not overwhelming, and has an “old meets new” kind of vibe. Very well decorated, small- but not cramped. They play good hip hop, and it’s at a comfortable level so you can still hear and talk to others.
Service was very good, we only interacted with one employee, but she was great, kind and efficient.
The food wasn’t that impressive in my opinion. I think it was super overpriced. My husband and I each got a sandwich, a side, and a sweet tea to split. The portions do not match the prices, I expected a lot more for the almost $60 price tag by the time tax and tip is figured in. There is much better quality and better prices near by, this was a total miss.
I will not be likely to return to this shop.
i ordered the burrata blt and tater tots and it was so delicious!! the inside place is very clean and has a modern old school style. i didn’t realize its near the astoria train station so it really is walking distance! i will definitely go back again and try more 😆 …
My sandwich was good! Fried chicken in hot honey and coleslaw. I think the coleslaw should be less sweet if the chicken has that much honey. It was doused in honey. Solid sandwich place in the neighborhood. Girl at the counter took forever to acknowledge me because she was on her phone. Even as she took my payment she was on her phone. Took her a minute to realize I was paying cash…
