Took out my wife for her birthday to the ridge, and I was pleasantly surprised. The ambiance was nice and cozy. The smoke tongue was delicious. The beef cheek was mouth watering, melted in my mouth. The tempura mushrooms were something special. When you make the, hmmm, sound. That was it. The drinks were delicious. Overall, it was a great experience. Will definitely go again and try some of the other dishes. The maitre de and waiter staff were very friendly. Great owner.
Good experience overall , Even though there was a party on the other half of the restaurant. The doors were closed. Our server was terrific and the food excellent with one exception. I have a real problem spending $12 on a portion of frozen french fries from a bag. A restaurant with food that was so delicious, the sweet breads and the duck in particular, should not be serving french fries that are frozen and commercial. And certainly not charging $12 for that. They are not alone in this practice and I believe it’s an easy fix for high end restaurants to do. Potatoes are not expensive and to peel them and fry them should not be such a big thing. If peeling is too labor intensive there are those like Yukon Gold that don’t even have to be peeled. Frozen french fries are not okay. Not when you have those prices on your menu. But overall our experience was lovely besides for that issue.
The fish was very fresh. Definitely gonna visit again.
Had a very good experience here. First of all the atmosphere is perfect, and the waiters were very nice and helpful.
We didn’t order that many things as we were a party of 2 and not big eaters.
We have eaten here many times. Usually everything is great. My husband enjoys the steaks and I’ve liked the salads. This time the fish was rubbery. They gave a new piece that was raw. They ended up not charging me. I didn’t even need to ask. The sides tasted a little freezer burned. Not sure why food wasn’t good this time around. Service is always superb.
