Local Trinidad/Guyanese blend of yummy traditional dishes. Informal dining or take out option. Great service and good food is their hallmark. The saltfish and bake came fresh off the stove to my tummy!
Their tamarind wings live up to all the rave🔥🔥 The doubles with curry chick peas, pepper and tamarind sauce are a MUST as a vegan option and are melt in your mouth goodness.
Heads up no desserts to speak of so get that somewhere else if you’re like me and like something sweet after a great meal. Worth the trip. 🇬🇾 🇹🇹

Wait was a bit long but honestly it worked because it gave us time to figure out what we wanted to try. deff have to come back again to try their other options. The customer service was good and the workers behind the counter were helpful and kind when we didn’t know what something was.
My family and I loved this place. The service / people who worked there were so welcoming and friendly and happy to answer questions as needed. I thought the oxtail curry was delicious, as was the tamarind wings and doubles. My family also loved those things and my mom loved the chicken curry.
For along time I wanted to try Tamarind Island. My husband and I tried it on a Saturday afternoon. We ordered a regular double, double with curry goat, double with veggies and a curry goat roti. Customer service was amazing. I talked to the owner for awhile. He was so nice I told him I follow him on IG. The doubles were amazing nice and spicy(we ordered it that way). The curry goat was tender and flavorful. We loved the roti too. The Tamarind sauce was so delicious. This is definitely going to be my go to spot.
Me and my family absolutely adored this place. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and eager to answer any questions we had. I found the oxtail curry to be particularly delicious, and the tamarind wings and doubles were also outstanding. My family shared my enthusiasm, with my mom especially enjoying the chicken curry.
