I had the pleasure of dining at Taste of Gyro recently, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The authenticity of the Greek cuisine here is unmatched. We ordered the gyro and the chicken souvlaki platter, both of which were succulent and full of flavor. The zucchini and eggplant fries were a crispy, delicious surprise, and the hummus was creamy and perfectly seasoned. The grape leaves were another highlight, showcasing the care and authenticity put into each dish.
The owner of Taste of Gyro made our visit even more special. It’s evident that this is a passion-driven, family-friendly local business, and their hospitality shines through. They even treated us to complimentary feta fries, which were a delightful addition to our meal.
Overall, I am thrilled to support this new local gem. The combination of delicious, authentic Greek food, warm hospitality, and a family-friendly atmosphere makes Taste of Gyro a must-visit. I can’t wait to return and indulge in their culinary delights once again.
Last night I had the most delightful experience here. Not only was the food extremely delicious, also the owner was exceptional nice. Reminded me of my time in Greece!

I recently visited Taste of Gyro in Astoria and had an exceptional experience. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm, friendly atmosphere that set the tone for the meal. Whether you’re a fan of traditional gyros or looking to try something new, this place is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be returning soon to try more of their menu!
Taste of Gyro is an absolute gem! I was greed with a warm hospitality. The gyro was perfection, flavorful meat wrapped in soft, fresh pita. The portion size was generous, and the ingredients were clearly fresh and high-quality. I also appreciated the friendly and efficient service. Highly recommended!
What a wonderful place! Feels like it is family owned and everything is made on the spot. The food is really good and the owner is welcoming and caring. Very intimate authentic place. Highly recommended!
