The staff and owner are awesome! So friendly, so accommodating, so helpful… Service not only with a smile but also a few laughs! My husband and I had a great time chatting with the owner! Okay let’s talk FOOD! Everything we ordered – mostly standard items, were DELICIOUS! Everything was so fresh and flavorful… From the chips and salsa they start you out with, to the guacamole, ceviche and chicken and beef tostada… Something new for us, that we had been dying to try, was the birria or quesabirria tacos… we decided on the quesabirria (because who doesn’t like cheese) and it comes with this dipping sauce which is more like a mouthwatering soup… OH EM GEE – FANTASTIC!! We literally wanted to drink it LOL … Oh and the ambience is wonderful whether you sit inside or out. Please do yourself a favor and give Gardenias a try… you will not be disappointed!
everything i had was delicious, i really recommend the birria tacos. the servers were very attentive, the margaritas were $14 which is expensive but also they were gigantic. will definitely be coming here again 🙂
The place is filled with bright colors, nice decor. Option to dine outdoors under the yellow metal awning where there are tables set up, and 2 big comfortable sofas or dine indoors in the main dining room. Servers are attentive, and professional. I ordered 2 margaritas, first one regular, 2nd one watermelon, however they ran out of watermelon so i opted for the strawberry, and they served complimentary salsa and chips. They were delicious. The food was hot, and tasted delicate to the palate. I ordered guac as an appetizer, shrimp cocktail Mexican style, and a meat plate, and to finish for dessert plain Flan. They offer vegan, as well as other delicious looking options. The portions were not excessive nor small. I enjoyed the experience very much. I went back again a few days later with my wife, and her best friend.
A hidden gem in the old part of Nanuet township. The food is of high quality while the price is low, and they give you plenty of free bites too, e.g. a generous serving of tortilla chips and salsa is presented on the table as soon as you sit down. For a true vegetarian there isn’t much on offer, while yours truly can tolerate fish and seafood every now and then, and boy what a treat when one orders the Caldo de Mariscos! In a thick tomato based broth swim generous helpings of jumbo shrimp, mussels, fish chunks and squid slices. I usually order this soup as my main, and the portion is always larger than my stomach, esp. when it comes with 4 free tortillas (handmade, warm and delicious). Last time we visited, my son ordered the Plato de Carnitas (upon the waitress’s recommendation) and it was much more substantial than he had thought – he could barely move after finishing the plate! The restaurant is tastefully decorated, with lots of indoor and outdoor seatings.

Food is really good But Margaritas are $14 and drink menu has no pricing. $14 drink and $16 entree is out of line. Be more transparent and have pricing on drink menu.
