Great home-made beer selection, with a Scotch Ale that will require a designated driver. I had great service from Gwen the barmaid. They offer flights and samples so you can find what you’re in the mood for. Food was great too. Come support this local hidden gem.
Service was a Lil slow it wasn’t happy hour or anything but I waited at the bar for at least 15 minutes before the bartender approached me even though she was very nice I shouldn’t have to have waited that long for a flight with only 6 people in the whole place and they were already served the ciders were really good and the stout was tasty with a nice smoky finish the wings were excellent and so we’re the sweet potato fries.
Very generous portion. The appetizer plate with 3 choices was too much for the 2 of us. No ambiance at all, it was December 23rd and weather sucked outside tho, so that might be the reason why. The music was not my kind of music at all. Some pop country. The selection of beers available was great tho and that why we stopped there so good experience overall.
We decided to come here for dinner and were extremely disappointed. The first night we tried, we were told the kitchen had closed an hour before. That was fine, but they should have some sort of signage or information available so we could know that. I had looked on their site and had a printout from the hotel regarding their hours-nothing mentioned the kitchen closing at a different time. We tried to come again another night and well…
You are supposed to seat yourself, so we decided to sit in the back room (we didn’t want a high table). There was a worker in that back room, and she never said a word to us. After about 15 minutes of no contact from any worker, we decided to move to the front. We realized after that they were setting up for a party in the back room. Why we were not told this and asked to move rather than just outright ignored is beyond me!
We sat down and were given menus immediately. Shortly after that, the bar tender came to our table and asked “can I get you anything else?” Considering we had yet to get anything I found this odd, but thought it was probably a slip of the tongue. We ordered our drinks, and she went to get them. After a short while, she returned with them, and again asked if she could get us anything else. We told her we wanted to order food, to which she said that’s fine. She just needed to grab the tablet and would be back. We waited a long while before she finally returned and said “can I get you anything else?” Uhhh yeah we’d like to order food? Clearly she had forgotten about us, but thankfully she had the tablet so we were able to order. My husband also asked for another drink.
She left our table again and never. returned. We watched as two other parties left without paying because they were not being serviced, and another party come and go because they never even received menus, let alone any other service. After being at this bar for around an hour and a half and only receiving one drink each, my husband finally walked up to the bar to cancel our food and pay for our drinks… which still took him at least 15 minutes of just standing there waiting 🤦♀️
Overall, the one woman behind the bar seemed new and probably overwhelmed as it looked like she was the only one seriously working. The other worker tended to the party in the back mostly, but I often saw her standing around drinking a beer. Overall, they probably just need some servers as having someone man the bar and the tables is quite ridiculous, and clearly some system needs to be made.
I’m going to give them five stars. They don’t have a brewer, which is absurdly disappointing because I would love to try their own beers.
I didn’t eat. Their website menu is quite outdated. I’m a vegetarian so my options are super limited and I don’t blame any places for not having much for me to eat. I was hoping for a substantial meal and was excited for the flatbreads. Well, they don’t have the flatbreads on the menu anymore. If I ate meat, they had a solid menu.
The bartender / server was incredible. This is also a pretty cool spot.
