My wife and I stopped on our way to Vermont. Our waitress Kayla was very cheerful and friendly. My wife ordered the Chef Salad, and I ordered the Broiled Halibut. Her chef salad was huge, and all the ingredients were very fresh. The broiled halibut was awesome! It was served in lemon garlic sauce that was light and not overpowering. It came with chicken and rice soup, which was excellent. This is a great diner and the prices are very reasonable.
Welcoming staff at this down home traditional diner with booths. Great place for relaxed conversation. Excellent broiled haddock dinner special. Great homemade vegetable soup! Good pancakes, eggs and French toast.
Interesting place… This restaurant has perhaps the largest and most diverse menu selection I’ve ever seen. Clean place. Heavy silver ware. They also have a decent selection of cocktails and the beer is cold. The pastries and pies are delicious. Try the stuffed clams
Loved this place. I got the lemon pepper chicken and rice special and it was amazing. After being on the road for 6 hours it was SO nice to have a warm real meal and not fast food. And the waitress was all by herself but was always so nice and accommodating and worked her tail off.
Food was decent, but my omelette was overcooked on the outside and runny on the inside.
The worst part was the service though. They weren’t friendly or welcoming. We got our food, and no one came back to our table until we had been done for a while. Our coffee and water cups sat empty the entire meal. They finally showed up with the check and we had to ask for refills. Then headed up to the front to pay, and had to interrupt the cashier who was busy playing on her phone.
With all the other diners around, I’d pass on this one.
