Good vibe and great guy, food was good, but I really wanted brisket but he didn’t have any at the time. Meat was cooked perfectly, the garlic mash potatoes was excellent, chili mac and mac n cheese was good. Slaw was delicious and the cornbread!……. the cornbread was very good. Tells me he never serves leftovers, so he gives the leftovers to a woman’s center which I highly respect. And the place is very clean. Really need a bigger spot to dine in, but that’s just my opinion. Overall excellent place.
Quite simply the best bbq on Long Island.
To experience it all I got the trinity, and so happy I did, but there was no way I was going to finish all this food. The portion sizes are what can only be described as extremely generous.
The food is out of this world good, the ribs are huge and flavourful, the pork (pulled to serve) is smokey and sweet and with the Carolina sauce it’ll blow your mind. Not to mention the juicy tender smoked chicken.
The owner is an absolute trip, and well, just go, experience it for yourself, you won’t regret it.
A word of warning, go early, the place sells out at least 4 times a week before 9 o’clock closing.
I was met with such positive and excitable energy from the moment I walked in! It also smelled amazing! I received such great customer service and the owner showed attention to each detail of my order. He walked me through each station and made recommendations, making me smile and laugh the entire time. The meat was falling of the bone as he put it in my tray. Keith was great too! He was taking such care to keep my order warm as I chatted and ordered more food. I was hoping the taste of the food matched my customer service experience and it DID. Everything tasted amazing, tender, juciy, and I can’t wait to go back. I was given specific instructions on how to warm up the cornbread. I was too full o try it when I ate. But looking forward to it!
Decided to try this place while I was in the area and I was more than satisfied! I got the Rib combo platter with cornbread and chili garlic mashed potatoes. Joe and Brian worked with purpose to ensure the food came out quickly. The cornbread is made with some pineapple juice, which gave it a unique yet enjoyable flavor. They chop the ribs right in front of you which made it a nice experience while you wait for your plate to be ready.
Joe made the experience enjoyable, as he immerses the customers in the experience of preparing the food. He gave great suggestions and would even let you sample some of the side dishes. Make sure you ask for some wet wipes, as the food can be messy (but delicious).
I stumbled upon this place based on being in the area and a crave for barbecue, which I’m glad I did. Joe is a warm and welcoming person that was very attentive the moment I walked through the door. I was unsure with what I particularly wanted but Joe recommended the Rib Platter and Chili Mac. I went with his recommendation of Rib Platter, Chili Mac and Garlic Mashed Potatoes. The ribs were extremely meaty and very well seasoned! The chili Mac as well as the garlic mashed potatoes were phenomenal. I would recommend this business to friends and family anytime. Oh! Also their cornbread is extremely good! It’s a huge chunk that tastes like your classic cornbread but it’s moist due to pineapple juice and honey in it!
