5 Reviews on “Panera Bread”
Now I remember why I hadn’t eaten at a Panera in like 5 or so years. This is a (full) $12 sandwich? I understand it’s 2023 and society ain’t the same, but c’mon. The place was filthy too.
So why did I give them 2 stars? My girlfriend’s street corn soup bread bowl was not bad, and my daughter did like her mac n cheese. But this was not worth $44 between three people. And yes it’s my fault because we were in a rush and we didn’t check for nor notice the 3.5 star rating. Had we noticed that we would’ve driven right by and went for $1.50 hot dogs at Costco. I hate doing this but we all work way too hard for our money these days.
12 dollar salad green goddess Cobb. The salad had little to no chicken, it was cold like they got it frozen a just waited for it to thaw. One cube of avocado and an egg. Over price for bad quality. Tables were dirty. Could have got a better salad at Zaxbys. Cashier was friendly that was the only good thing about this place.
Food items were lacking. If on menu, one expects availability. Been several times and invariably, they didn’t have what I wanted. I typically go early evening to avoid the crowds, but if you have a sweet tooth, suggest getting there early. The pastry selections are limited. But, still a Panera Bread, if ya been to one, you’ve been to them all.
I just went to pick up my order that I placed on the app at Sam Rittenberg Blvd location, only to find out that they are out of one the items. The app did not specify that they were out and it has in the past. This location is always out of food, specifically oatmeal, yogurt or the toppings for the yogurt. If they have the yogurt but not some of the toppings they make it without them and charge the same price. There are hardly ever enough employees to the point that there is no one up front when you walk in the restaurant. I have to ask for my order about half the time instead of it being in the pick up area. The app tells me my order is ready and I go to get it and it has not even been started. The app really needs some updating and with the technology available it should function more efficiently. It doesn’t look like upper management really cares about this location. The employees are nice when they are present. But management needs to step it up. Panera is not what it used to be, at least not this location. You want me recommend a dish, but I don’t know how to when half the time you don’t have it to order. I will find it hard to order from this location again.
We ordered soup- they were out of soup. I ordered the strawberry chicken salad. They were out of that too. Then we ordered 3 grilled cheese to make it easy and they were out of white bread to make 3 grilled cheese. I spent $37 basically on 3 grilled cheese and couldn’t even get it on the correct type of bread.
