Just passing through and Googled best brunch, this place came up. 😋 Definitely should be on your list to try or frequent! My good gracious. 👌 The Southern Skillet is to die for.
Some ordered lunch for me and I got a cheese steak sandwich with mold on the bread. Very visible so it’s like they didn’t care that they sent out such a disgusting sandwich.. never again. Fried green tomatoes were very good. (At least)
Baker’s Sweets is one of my favorite spots for lunch or meeting up with friends.My go to meal is the blackbean burger with sweet potato fries. You can get this meal with Hawaiian bread or in a wrap. The iced Chai Tea is exquisite as well.
I got a red velvet cake from here for my birthday. I must say, it was the driest cake I’ve ever eaten. As I was cutting the cake, I could literally hear the crunching sounds it made. Not to mention, they have terrible customer service and their attitudes are horrible. I went inside and asked the lady in the cafe section of the bakery for a napkin, she asked if I was a customer, I said
no. In her words, “I can’t give you napkins if you aren’t a customer.” Seriously? I have to buy from this establishment for paper? Also, while the said it she had a snarky attitude. Will never buy from this business again!
Went by for breakfast. Got a ham and cheese croissant.
The mayo was overpoweringly sour and beige looking. Look, I’m a mayo lover and when I say it was bad, it was baaaaaad.
Told the lady I thought it was bad.
She went to the kitchen and brought it back out, and said they make their own mayo, and it was fine.
Then 8 hours later, I felt terrible, and was producing soup for the throne.
Thank you for the poison! Will never visit again, and will be sure to warn others away.
The lemon cake tasted pretty good coming back up.
