I found Cakes by the Sea on Google. I saw another post about them being in town for her mother’s birthday with a cute cake design! Cakes by the Sea team quickly responded to my inquiry and let me know they could make my cake in a short turnaround time. Did I mention the price was so affordable?! I almost thought they were joking when they said $30. This cake is easily worth $80+ where I live. My mother absolutely adored her cake and she said it tasted amazing! It smelled delicious too!
5 star experience from start to finish. Excellent service and a fantastic tasting, great looking cake. They made sure I had candles and was all set for our birthday celebration. Highly recommend and impressive to get such a great cake and experience at the beach.
I ordered a cake for my wife’s 70th birthday and chose Cakes by the Sea because of the reviews and the quality of their website. I attempted to call the store on a day they showed as open, but there was no answer. I used a link to send an email and a couple of days later I received an email response that stated they were closed for vacation and would not be open for a couple more weeks. In my opinion, this information should have been posted on their website so that customers are aware. I wanted to order a specialized cake for this occasion so I was happy to wait since I did not need it for some time. I went to the store and ordered the cake a couple of weeks before the pickup. The woman who assisted me was friendly and assisted me with choosing the cake and the specific decorations that would be added. Because this was a surprise I was not able to pick the cake up the day of the party and had arranged for a friend go to pick it up. When I placed the order there were a couple of specific things that I requested to be done. Many who read this will say that this may be a bit nit picky but the sea grass piping on the side of the cake was to be done in a brown icing and was done in white. They also were to add additional white chocolate sea horses, which they did. That being said, the cake was truly a hit with my wife and all those who attended the party. The chocolate cake was moist and delicious and the peanut butter butter cream was also very good. overall I was pleased with the cake with the exception of the seagrass color, which would have given the sides of the cake a little more texture visually. The 4 stars is given because the cake was not completed exactly as ordered and for a higher end cake it should have been correct. The other reason is due to the website not reflecting the lengthy closing for vacation. I have contacted the store and discussed for informational purposes the missed sea grass color and they appreciated the information. I would absolutely recommend this bakery as a place to have a cake ordered and will order from here myself again in the future.
I came in looking for a custom cake for my son’s 1st birthday party and his theme was cocomelon. The cake turned out perfect! I was impressed and the price was affordable.
Such a simple cake but yet wonderful nonetheless and so delicious when I couldn’t find anyone to make my sons birthday cake I came across cakes by the sea the lady over the phone took my order and said she could definitely make a Thomas cake I was so relieved and my small little family love this cake we enjoyed it so much it was perfect we definitely will be coming back for all coming birthdays and holidays! Thanks so much for making my sons birthday special ❤️
